Cosmopolitan – Sex and the city


Signature drink of: Carrie Bradshaw (and friends)

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ fluid ounces vodka
  • ¼ fluid ounce lime juice
  • ¼ fluid ounce triple sec
  • ¼ fluid ounce cranberry juice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 lime wedge for garnish

Directions: Gather all ingredients. Combine vodka, lime juice, triple sec, and cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, cover and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Old Fashioned – Mad Men


Signature drink of: Don Draper.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 ounces bourbon (or rye whiskey, if preferred)
  • Garnish: orange twist

Directions: Add the sugar and bitters into a mixing glass, then add the water, and stir until the sugar is nearly dissolved. Fill the mixing glass with ice, add the bourbon, and stir until well-chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube. Express the oil of an orange twist over the glass, then drop into the glass to garnish.

Signature drink of: Harvey Specter.

Ingredients:

  • Single Malt Scotch Whisky
  • Ice

Directions: Pour Whisky in glass and over ice.

Signature drink of: Blair Waldorf

How to make:

  • 1 oz gin
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • Champagne

Directions: Add Gin, Lemon juice, and simple syrup to cocktail shaker. Shake, strain into champagne flute, top with champagne.

White Russian – The Big Lebowski


Signature drink of: “The Dude” & a fave of Jake Peralta in Brooklynn 99.

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces coffee liqueur, such as Kahlúa
  • 1/2 to 3/4 3/4 ounce cold heavy cream

Directions: Fill a low ball glass with ice. Add 1 1/2 ounces vodka and 1 1/2 ounces coffee liqueur, and stir to combine. Pour 1/2 to 3/4 ounce cold heavy cream (use 3/4 ounce if you like it really creamy) on top. You can allow the cream to mix in dramatically on its own, or stir to combine.
