Summer’s heating up, and barbeque season is in full swing. But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered for an outstanding kickoff to Canada Day next weekend with our sizzling selection of spirits and cocktail recipes.

The cherry on top? All the liquor featured below is currently on sale at your local Angry Otter. So, hurry to pick them up before July 1st

Ingredients:

  • 1 Corona Bottle
  • 1 ½ oz Tequila
  • 1 ½ oz Orange Juice
  • ½ oz Grenadine
  • 1 Lime Wedge

Directions:

  • Drink or pour out the Corona until it's filled to the label.
  • Pour the tequila, orange juice, and grenadine into the bottle.
  • Plug the top of the bottle with your thumb and shake (carefully) all the ingredients together.
  • Squeeze the lime and place it in the mouth of the bottle.

*We recommend picking up the Corona Extra (6 packs) and Jose Cuervo Silver (750 ml) as they are currently on special!


Ingredients:

  • 1 packet Blue Raspberry Lemonade Kool-Aid (unprepared)
  • 5 cups Lemonade
  • 4 cups Lemon-lime Soda
  • 1½ cups Pineapple Juice
  • 4 ounces Rum
  • 4 ounces Vodka
  • Ice

Directions:

  • Add the packet of Kool-Aid powder to a large pitcher.
  • Pour in the lemonade, lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, rum, and Vodka, and stir to combine.
  • Pour into glasses over ice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz Tequila
  • 1 oz Orange Liqueur
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Blackberry Simple Syrup
  •  Ice
  • For Garnish: Blackberries (optional)
  • For Rim: Lime juice and Salt or Sugar (optional)

Directions:

  • Dip the rim of the glass in lime juice and either salt or sugar to coat. Set aside.
  • Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously.
  • Serve over crushed ice and garnish.

Ingredients:

  • 5 oz of Red Wine
  • 6 oz Club Soda
  • Ice

Directions:

  • Fill ¾ of a tall glass with ice and top with wine and club soda.
  • Garnish with berries or citrus slices and serve with a straw.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Coconut Rum
  • 4 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz Grenadine
  • For Garnish: Maraschino Cherries and Pineapple Wedges (optional)

Directions:

  • Fill a shaker halfway with ice and add rum and pineapple juice. Shake until chilled.
  • Add grenadine to a glass and top with ice.
  • Pour the cocktail over the ice and garnish.
