As we approach National Whisky Sour Day on Friday August 25th, it's time to start thinking about how to celebrate this beloved holiday. Whether you're a seasoned whisky enthusiast or just looking to try something new, we've got you covered. In this article, we've put together a few of our favorite whisky sour recipes that are sure to impress.

So grab your shaker and let's get mixing! 


The Classic Whisky Sour 

A harmonious blend of smooth, aged whisky, zesty lemon tang, and sweetness creates a symphony of flavours. View the original recipe here.

Ingredients

½ oz Simple Syrup
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
2 oz Whisky
1 Egg White

Directions

Dry shake the whisky and egg white first (it froths the egg much better). Then add the rest of the ingredients and shake until combined.

Strain and pour into a glass with one ice sphere. Garnish to your liking.



Strawberry Whisky Sour

With this hot weather, everyone is looking for something refreshing to handle the heat. So, we’re here to provide a fun twist on the classic perfect for the end of berry season.

Ingredients

2 Strawberries, mashed
½ oz Simple Syrup
2 oz Whisky
1 oz Lemon Juice
1 Egg White

Directions

Dry shake the whisky and egg white first. Add the rest of the ingredients and ice and shake until combined.

Strain and pour into a glass with one ice sphere. Garnish to your liking (We recommend a strawberry and lemon wedge).



Apricot Whisky Sour

Ingredients

1½ oz. Whisky
¾ oz. Apricot Liqueur
¼ oz. Simple Syrup
¾ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz. Egg White

Directions

Shake all ingredients well without ice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well again before straining into a chilled cocktail glass. Grate fresh cinnamon on top.
